Cognitive Match (“we” or “us”) collects information about the website(s) visited and the advertisements that visitors see while online. We use the information in order to help make our Ads more relevant to user segments and for ad delivery and reporting purposes. Cognitive Match is registered in the U.K. and is compliment with the EU Data Protection Directive.

Types of information we collect with our technology
Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”): we do not collect PII with our technology
We collect non-PII information including, but not limited to IP host address, pages viewed, browser type, the URL, the referring URL, Internet Service Provider, and computer operating system
Cookies and Web Beacons: Cognitive Match collects information about the affiliated websites you visit and the advertisements served to you online.
You may receive a Cognitive Match Cookie, when we serve advertisements on a website that you visit; when one of our clients purchases online advertisement on a website you visit; and/or when one of our clients places a Cognitive Match web beacon on its website, which you visit.

How long we store data for
For targeting purposes, Cognitive Match retains information (web logs and cookie data) for a period six months. After six months, this information is aggregated and may be used only for auditing, reporting, and analysis. This aggregate data is stored for up to two years after which time it is deleted.
Opting out of cookies
If you would like to opt-out from having Cognitive Match collect your non-PII information with our technology, we provide methods to do so. When you opt-out, we place a cookie on your computer. The opt-out cookie tells us not to collect your non-PII to tailor online advertisement campaigns. Please note that if you delete, block or otherwise restrict cookies, or if you use a different computer or Internet browser, you may need to renew your opt-out choice.

Information Security
The security of your information is important to us. We have implemented reasonable security measures to protect the information in our care, both during transmission and once we receive it. This includes, but is not limited to the use of encryption. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however, therefore we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Information relating to children
Our products and services are designed for those 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect PII from anyone under the age of 13. If we are made aware that we have received PII from someone under 13, we will use reasonable efforts to remove that information from our records.
Disclosure of information to 3rd parties
Cognitive Match may share non-PII collected data with clients for analysis and reporting purposes. We may enhance our non-PII collected data with non-PII data collected by our clients. This information cannot be used to contact or identify and person individually. We may disclose your information to third parties when we reasonably believe we are obligated to do so by law, and in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual prohibited activities, including but not limited to, fraud and situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.
Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy is subject to change. If we make any material or substantive changes in the way that we use the PII collected through this website, we will post a clear and conspicuous notice of those changes on the website and in this privacy policy.
