The Business Leaders Network brings together entrepreneurs and other business leaders to discuss current issues. The Future of Print Media event saw an impressive group of 20 or so news and print CEOs, who are all facing new challenges in light of the shift away from traditional media channels. “The changes we're about to see as we move from analogue to digital are as profound as the changes in television 40 years ago”, says John McVay of PACT.

Sir Martin Sorrell (CEO of WPP group), during his keynote speech at this invite-only event, stressed that “playing with data”, or consumer insight, will be one of the biggest parts of WPP’ business in the future. Stream is WPP’s annual event for “innovation, inspiration, and awe-inspiring ideas in the area of culture, communication, innovation and internet”. The event encourages a wide range of views from participants across digital media.

Cognitive Match CEO Alex Kelleher was invited to speak on a panel discussing ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) generation at the 2009 Eurosummit cable industry conference in Lisbon. Whereas the second generation of the internet (roughly defined as "Web 2.0") was and is essentially about people connecting to each other, the next generation will be about relevance. Relevance is what we respond to, and that in turn is informed by behavioural data.
